Ever wondered about the story behind our vibrant signature JAS Pink?
Back in the 1950s, this intense magenta hue became more than color. It became a symbol of Mexico - a piece of cultural identity. You can still find it everywhere, from bustling markets to the petals of flowers in Mexican cities and towns.
In 1949, visionary designer Ramon Valdosiera drew inspiration from Mexico's ethnic diversity and vibrant bougainvillea blossoms when he showcased a collection in a fashion show in New York City. The bold and intense pink in his designs caught everyone's attention. When asked about it, Valdosiera proudly declared it was a color deeply rooted in Mexican culture. This led a U.S. journalist to coin the term "Mexican Pink."
From fashion to architecture, Mexican Pink became a statement. Architects like Ricardo Legorreta and Luis Barragán embraced it, infusing their designs with the essence of Mexico. Recently, it became the official color of Mexico City, making its mark on everything from taxis to official documents.
We chose this iconic color for JAS because it’s a nod to our rich cultural heritage. It's about embracing our roots, celebrating authenticity, and being bold. Just like JAS, this vibrant pink is an expression of living your truth.
So, every time you sip on a JAS, remember you're sipping on a piece of Mexican culture, a splash of vibrancy, and a whole lot of bold vibes. ✨
